Martin Dawson ACA CTA was previously a tax partner at Grant Thornton specialising in private client work in particular the taxation of UK resident foreign domiciliaries “Non Doms”, advising on tax efficient structures for all forms of property investment, CGT and IHT planning.
Martin has considerable experience in establishing bespoke offshore structures, reorganisation and restructuring estates and business interests for Non Doms, HNWIs and OMBs.
Prior to his tenure at Grant Thornton, Martin was a partner at Baker Tilly in their Manchester office.
Martin has two children and is a keen supporter of Man Utd, and “occasional” follower of Hull City. On the rare occasion he has any spare time this is usually spent ferrying his children between their various social and sporting activities.
Esfak spent his formative years with two of the “Big 4”, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and then moving to PwC to specialise in taxation.
In recent years Esfak has been providing tax consultancy and technical support to accountants, tax planning boutiques and OMBs.
He has also been busy in developing bespoke tax planning solutions working closely with leading Tax Counsel for clients using trusts and offshore structures notably employee benefit trusts and EFRBS.
His only claim to fame is that despite nursing a broken jaw (quite literally smashed, whilst playing football) for four months of his final year at University he still managed to limp home with a first class honours degree!
